TOPRA’s MSc in Regulatory Affairs now validated by the University of Hertfordshire

TOPRA is pleased to announce that the MSc in Regulatory Affairs is now validated by the University of Hertfordshire.

The University of Hertfordshire is one of the UK’s leading business-facing universities and an exemplar in the sector being both innovative and enterprising, challenging individuals and organisations to excel. It was awarded ‘Entrepreneurial University of the Year 2010’ by the Times Higher Education (THE). The course will be managed within Pharmacy, a department in the School of Life and Medical Sciences.

This successful modular Masters in Regulatory Affairs has been offered by TOPRA since 1989 and has seen more than 200 students graduate in this time. The course is designed for professionals working in regulatory affairs who have already gained first-hand experience of handling regulatory issues. Formerly validated by the University of Wales, the transfer to the University of Hertfordshire will ensure the long-term continuity of the TOPRA MSc to both new and existing students.

Neil Fisher, TOPRA’s Director of Education and Training said: ‘To be able to continue to offer our MSc with a high quality and well-respected institution means that this MSc qualification will continue to be regarded internationally as a relevant and high-quality award.’

The University of Hertfordshire is committed to high-quality healthcare/pharmaceutical education. It will provide a seamless transference for students, while at the same time providing a platform for growth and development of the course in the future. Benefits of partnering with this university include:

  • Excellent library facilities covering pharmaceutical industry journals
  • Close links with leading pharmaceutical companies
  • Other prestigious pharmaceutical courses are also validated including the MSc in Pharmacovigilance
  • Excellent e-learning facilities.

Professor Soraya Dhillon MBE, Dean of the School of Life and Medical Sciences said 'We are delighted to be working in partnership with TOPRA, an organisation that shares our strategic aim to provide quality education and training tailored to the needs of employees and employers both nationally and internationally.'
